Volunteering is a great way to make friends while you make a difference in the Hanscom community! Whatever your time “budget,” there’s an opportunity for you!
Red Cross Blood Drive
The Spouses Club Red Cross Volunteers work together with the CGOC to provide support for the American Red Cross Bloodmobile. The Bloodmobile is scheduled to visit six times each year — usually the second Monday of every other month. We need volunteers every other month to work at the donor canteen, check donors in and accompany donors from the donor cots to the canteen. The hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Volunteers are invited to come and help at any time or for the whole day if they would like to! Please plan on coming out to help at the next Blood Drive. It doesn't matter how long you've lived overseas, we need you to pass out … cookies, that is! Contact Barbara Mullin at redcross@hanscomsc.org for more information.
Family Events Team
Coordinates functions sponsored by the Hanscom Spouses Club that involve the entire family. The Coordinator Position for this team is Saundra Davis, familyevents@hanscomsc.org.

Thrift Shop Team
If you have a few hours to give during the week, we’d love to have your help running the Hanscom Spouses Club Thrift Shop. Volunteers are needed to display and price merchandise, run the register, accept consignments and keep our shop tidy. The shop’s hours of operation are Tuesday and Thursdays from 10 am to 2 pm, and the first Saturday of every month. Please note that the Thrift Shop will be CLOSED the month of July and August. SC Holiday Gift Wrapping
The HSC is seeking volunteers during December to help with the annual holiday gift wrapping fund raiser, at the BX daily, between the hours of 10 am and 6:30 pm. The Gift Wrap Team Coordinator is Therese Hetland. To sign up, http://doodle.com/upsik8mav58sz7ds.
Holiday Club Decorations Team

Publicity/Historian Team

Scholarship Auction Team
This Team solicites and organizes donations from the Hanscom Community for the annual Scolarship Fundraising Auction in March. They also work with the Team Coordinator in the planning of the auction. Scholarship Distribution Team

This Team is made up of Editor, Writers, Proofreaders, Advertising Manager, and Delivery Staff that handle all aspects of publishing and distribution of the Hanscom Spouses Club monthly newsletter The Yankee Flyer.
